OUR PASTORS
Ronnie & Lyn Tan
Founding Pastors
Appointed Church was started by our founding pastors - Ronnie and Lyn. They met one another in Singapore at Tung Ling Bible School in 1981.
They have been in pastoral ministry since 1991, and they have lived and ministered in Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand.
They received the calling to raise a new generation here in Johor Bahru even though they were already nearing retirement age when they were still in New Zealand.
They heeded the calling and returned to Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 2013 and by February 2014 launched Appointed Church.
Starting with nothing, the church went from place to place for their weekly gathering until it was finally anchored at our current location in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru.
Both Ronnie and Lyn want to see people transformed, becoming disciples of Jesus and developing Christlikeness.
As our church has grown and the next generation of leaders has been raised up, our founding pastors are finally able to go back to New Zealand to be with their two married children and grandchildren.
The church is currently run by the pastoral team who carry on the mission to raise the next generation to “Love God, Love People”.
